Gate access
Your space is available for use 24/7/365. After office hours, use your management assigned access code with the 24 hour access gate keypad through the south property entrance on Sawatch Road.

Why won't the gate open?
Enter only the five digit code you were assigned at the execution of the Rental Agreement. No * or # can be used. If you misdial, give the system a few minutes to reset. Continual mis-dialing will lock up the system. Your access code is listed near the top left side of your Rental Agreement.

How much storage do I need?
We can give you an rough estimate of what you can store in the different space sizes. Of course it all depends on your staple skills too.

How to get the most out of your Alpine Self Storage space:
Before you load up your car or truck we recommend that you make an appointment to have a management agent give you a tour of Alpine Self Storage so that you can view a variety of sizes and locations of available space. This will better help you to visualize how your property can be stored in the space.

Once you decide on the appropriate size, reserve the space and make arrangements with the management staff for the expected move in date. During your visit you can select boxes and other storage supplies from our wide variety available.

Good packing is essential. Well packed items are less prone to damage during transport and will help you to utilize the most out of your space. If packing is done well, you will be surprised to find you might need a smaller space than you originally thought!

       1. Create an inventory of all the items you plan to store
       2. Use boxes of uniform size, they are a lot easier to stack
       3. Label all boxes for quick retrieval
       4. Seal boxes with packing tape to prevent dust from entering
       5. Store heavy boxes on the bottom and light ones on the top
       6. Use our free palettes to keep your valuable things from the floor
       7. Place freqeuently needed items in the front of your space
       8. Use covers over your funiture to protect them from dust
       9. Large items like bed frames, tables and large funiture should be broken down to save space
      10. Don’t forget to use valuable space inside appliances and drawers
      11. If you store business files leave a walk way for easy access
      12. Use a high quality lock

Do I need insurance?
That decision is up to you. You can purchase a renter’s policy for your stored property through the mangement staff that offers competitive rates. If you have a current homeowner's or renter's insurance policy in effect, your property stored at Alpine Self Storage is more than likely covered under that policy. Be sure to double check with your insurance agent before you make a decision. If you do not have a current renter’s or homeowner’s insurance policy in effect, you might want to check with your automobile insurance agent to compare coverage and prices as well. Keep in mind the Storage Rental Agreement states that you are responsible for insuring your property. Alpine Self Storage does not insure your property.

What are my payment options?
We except Visa and Mastercard and checks. Sorry we are not able to except cash. For your convienience you can pay online on our website.We have a variety of convenient and discounted payment options. Please refer to our Policies page.

When is the rent due? What are the late fees?
Your rent will be prorated in the second occupancy month. One full month's rent is due upon move-in, regardless of your move-in date. Rent is due on the 1st day of each month. A ten (10) day grace period is provided. After the tenth of the month, rent is considered past due. The rental space will be over-locked if the rent is past due and a $15.00 late fee applies on the 11th of the month. If full payment is not received by the 15th of the month, an additional $10.00 late fee will be assessed for a total late fee amount of $25.00. All articles are stored by a rental agreement and charges not having been paid for 30 days will be sold or otherwise disposed of to pay charges.

Why is my space overlocked?
If your rent is not received by Alpine Self Storage by the 10th of any month, it is considered past due and is overlocked by the management staff. The space remains overlocked until the past due balance on the account is paid in full with certified funds. If a personal check is accepted as payment on a delinquent account, the space will remain overlocked for 30 days to allow plenty of time for the funds to clear.

What if I want to move out?
A ten day written notice of Intent to Vacate is required prior to vacating your space. Additionally we will prorate the rent out only in the first ten days of a calendar month. If you vacate after the tenth day of the month, you must pay for the whole month. Therefore, the first day of the month is the key in providing your notice of Intent to Vacate, if you want us to prorate the rent out. Feel free to email or fax your notice of intent to vacate.

Referral program
We’ll give you $25 for each customer you refer to us that rents a space. If you refer 3 customers to us in a one year period, we’ll give you a gift certificate for dinner for two at one of our fine local dining establishments!
